On Friday, I took a sunny lunchtime stroll down to the Frick to see the excellent Rembrandt exhibition (on view through May 22). I fell for these trees beneath a churning sky. This delicate, masterful etching combines lots of techniques—such as drypoint, engraving, and burin—to create a landscape that is wildly verdant, even in subdued sepia.
